Official UAC Submission Guidelines

Think before you submit. Try to only submit the deviations that you think are your strongest works.

:bulletblue: Every member is allowed to submit two deviations a month. This limit applies even if both the deviations submitted are declined [which is something we unfortunately cannot control]. Also, the deviations you submit must be at least two days old in your gallery. For a more in depth explanation of our two day rule, please see the "WHY?" section found below.

:bulletorange: Please submit to the correct folders. If you submit to the wrong folder your submission will be declined. For all information on how to submit artwork to a group, please visit one of these tutorials:… or… .

:bulletblue: Submissions will be quality checked to ensure artwork that best represents the artist is submitted to the correct folders.

      What we mean by quality:

:bulletorange: The artwork is polished and seems finished. No sketches or Works In Progress [WIPs].

:bulletorange: Sharp, thought out photographs. No photographs with low resolution, or images that are grainy, dark, or generally unclear will be accepted.

:bulletorange: We will not reject work based on our own personal preference. We reject/accept work on a technical basis, as we realize that artwork is subjective and everyone's skill level is different.

:bulletorange: We do not accept memes, deviations that use bases, deviations with more than one thumbnail of the artist's work, Very Demotivational posters (things such as this:…, WIPs (Works In Progress), screen caps, adoptables (things such as this:…, journals of any sort, anything that inspires hate against religions, races, genders, sexualities, etc., anything overly explicit, or a deviation lacking a mature tag that is in need of one.

:bulletblue: To make sure we are showing unknown artists' works, deviations will only be approved if the artwork has less than an average of 50 views per day, and a maximum of 5000 views total.

:bulletorange: We do not accept artworks that have been awarded a Daily Deviation. For more information on Daily Deviations, see here:

:bulletblue: Photomanipulations, or any image that uses stock, must have the stock used linked in their comments. This includes both free and purchased images. Submissions that do not have properly linked stock will be declined. If you used your own stock, please state such in your artist's comments. Please be prepared to provide further proof it is your own stock if requested. UAC does not accept work created using images culled from Google Image searches, or through sites like Photobucket because the images seen there are often copyrighted and would therefore infringe DA's rules on art theft. If your stock comes from a magazine, please provide the name of the magazine, (and if possible) issue and year. This applies to any preview pictures to your literature as well.

    Important Folder Information

We will decline deviations that are submitted to an improper folder.

The Photography folder is for photographs only. A photograph is defined as "an image of an object, person, scene, etc. recorded by a camera." Pictures of your artwork do not go here, but rather get placed in their proper folder based on medium.
Examples of acceptable entries in the Photography folder include:

The Comics folder is strictly for panel comics and images from your personal comic series. This is not the proper folder to submit regular fanart drawings to.
Examples of acceptable entries in the Comics folder include:

The Other Digital Art folder is for digital works you feel are not well represented in another digital art folder.
Examples of acceptable entries in the Other Digital Art folder include:

The Digital and Traditional, Black and White folder is for lineart and black and white illustrations. It can be digital, traditional, or whatever you like, but it is not for black and white photography or the like. We will be accepting clean and sharp images; no pencil sketches or poorly scanned deviations.
Examples of acceptable entries in the Digital and Traditional, Black and White folder include:

The 3D folder is only for 3D renders made using specific programs (such as 3D Max or AutoCAD). This folder is not for pictures of 3D objects, drawings of 3D objects, or 3D crafts; those submissions should go into their respective folders based on medium.
Examples of acceptable entries in the 3D folder include:

The Film folder is only for live action movies submitted to DA. This folder is not for gifs or animations; those submissions should go into the Animation folder. We do not accept deviation or journals with links to films or animations elsewhere on the internet, or gifs or animations that do not belong to the member attempting to submit the artwork to the group.
Examples of acceptable entries in the Film folder include:

The Animation folder is only for 2D or 3D animations submitted to DA in [most often] gif form. We do not accept journals with links to films or animations elsewhere on the internet, or gifs or animations that do not belong to the member attempting to submit the artwork to the group. We do accept deviations that contain a preview image of the animation, where the artist's comments contain a link to the animation on Youtube or Vimeo. The preview image and the Youtube/Vimeo video must belong to the artist submitting. Any stock music, etc. used must be credited so we can verify you are rightfully using them.
Examples of acceptable entries in the Animation folder include:

The Featured folder is a closed folder that only admins can submit members' works to. Admins can select up to three members' works per week that they feel is an extraordinary submission that deserves the recognition of the Featured folder. Only works that follow the group's rules and clearly had time, effort, and love put into them will be chosen.

To submit to the correct folder: Visit the group's main gallery page and click on the "+" button to the right of the folder name to submit to that folder. For more information on submitting to groups, please see one of these tutorials:

There is MUCH more to his gallery than was showcased here, and I highly suggest checking out the rest of his work: Disse86.

            A note for the artist:

While on Disse's profile, I noticed that he is not a member of ANY groups at this time. My suggestion to him is to join groups & submit his art there, because it is very good & I am sure that, if it were to be seen, he would receive many more watchers than he has now.
If you are a member of DeviantArt & are not submitting your work to groups, you are really missing out on a lot of opportunities. If your art is good, people will love it when they see it. But they can't love it, if they don't see it.

            .:~Affiliation Policy~:.

As of 13th July, Unknown-Artists-Club has decided to have the following affiliation policy:

:bulletblack: ANY Super Group will be accepted as an affiliate. :bulletred: For non-Super Groups, you will need to be active with a minimum member count of 100.

These affiliation rules are to prevent having dead groups as affiliates, so as to better facilitate affiliate browsing. If you have found that your group has been removed, it may have been due to inactivity.

            Thank you!
